Frequently asked questions
Do I just learn by trial and error?
No. Every lesson opens with the full explanation: conjugation tables, worked examples and the typical mistakes made by German, French and English speakers. The questions are woven in to fix what you have just read.
Can I start from zero?
Yes. A1.1 starts from scratch and is the only course open from the beginning, no test needed. If you already know some Spanish, the placement test tells you where to start.
How long does it take?
You set the pace. You get one year of access from the day you enrol, like a school year. Five lessons a week finishes it in a month; going slower works too.
What if I pick the wrong course?
You can ask us to switch it within seven calendar days of purchase, as long as you haven't completed more than one lesson. You can switch to a course of the same price or cheaper, and the difference isn't refunded. That's why it's worth taking the placement test first.
Are there classes with a teacher?
Yes, on top of the course. At every level you can book 50-minute 1:1 classes with a native teacher, to practise conversation or go over a specific topic you find hard. They are paid per class and can be booked once you are enrolled on a course at that level.
What are the Bites?
Three lessons on a real-life situation (the doctor, the bank, the flat…) to take alongside your course. A small, focused dose of everyday Spanish. They unlock with a course at their level or higher: with a B1 course you can buy the A1, A2 and B1 ones, but an A2 course doesn't unlock the B1 ones.
